Blogmas 2018

Blogmas Day One: Introduction To Blogmas 2018

It’s the 1st of December! Which means…Christmas is soon approaching. It’s considered the busiest time of the whole year. I’ll be buying Christmas presents last minute and wrapping them with seconds to spare. I have a one year old son who gives me very little time to organise Christmas. Just to top it off, I plan on moving into a new house in the weeks leading up to the big day. So what smart move did I recently make? I chose to commit to Blogmas! I must be mental, but the idea of writing a post everyday in December was very exciting. Will I be able to complete it? I doubt it, but it will be a lot of fun trying.

For those who are unfamiliar with what Blogmas is, think of it as a blogging advent calendar. Basically the challenge is to post a Christmas themed blog post every day in December. I’ve had trouble with thinking up new ideas for posts on many occasions, but sticking with a Christmas theme should make things a lot easier. Christmas has always been my favourite time of the year, just because it makes everyone cheerful and people come together for one day. I’m not so enthusiastic about the other side of Christmas. The side that includes the buying of presents and the bitter chill in the air. However, this year I will be writing myself into the ground trying to keep you all up to date on my December events.

I’m ready to spam my family, friends and social media followers with constant new posts and enough Christmas content to last you until…well, next Christmas. If you aren’t a fan of Christmas then maybe you need to block me on every social media until Boxing Day when it’s all over. I wouldn’t blame you at all. I’d recommend you sticking around though, just in case I crash and burn. You wouldn’t want to miss that now would you?

Sit back and enjoy watching me battle through December trying to keep my life in order whilst also writing new content. This may be the start of the end for my mental state.

Tomorrow’s post will be looking at my goals for December, so keep an eye out for that!
