Yesterday’s post was all about Christmas last year which you can catch up on by clicking here!
Today I am going to be giving you a sneak preview into what Christmas holds in store for the Yule family this year.
The honest answer would be that I don’t even know where we will be living come Christmas Day. As I have mentioned in previous posts, we are currently in the process of buying a house, and we have no idea how long it will take for the process to be completed. So for now, we are living in our apartment that has been our home for the past year and a half. It would be ideal for us to be in our new house for Christmas. Waking up on Christmas morning in a completely new home with decorations up and that new house smell would just be perfect. If not though, we can still wake up with the smell of dirty nappies in this apartment.
Christmas Day Plans
Our plans for Christmas Day will be the same regardless of where we are living. Amy will be working in the morning so the plan is for Austin and I to go and spend the first half at my Mum’s house. Once Amy finishes work we will then be going round to Amy’s parents house. There is the potential for two sets of Christmas dinners to be on offer which would be glorious!
I expect that we will be spending the majority of the day eating far too much food, drinking a little bit too much alcohol and I imagine most of the day watching Austin play with his new toys. Then we can spend Boxing Day trying to work out where to put them all. Austin will still be a little bit too young to really understand Christmas this year, so it’s a good excuse not to buy him too much. He is going to be spoilt either way by everybody else. The fun begins next year when he will surely be playing with bigger, more expensive toys which take up the entire room.
For me, Christmas is all about spending time with the ones we love, so as long as that happens then it’ll be another special Christmas.
Let me know what plans you have for Christmas this year, and if they differ from your usual Christmas routine.
