Today I am going to be helping you out with your Secret Santa gifts. Secret Santa can be one of the biggest challenges at Christmas. If anyone is unfamiliar with the process, it’s where you pick names out of a hat and then you have to buy a present for that person. This tradition is usually done within workplaces and the idea is for it to be a secret, hence the name ‘Secret’ Santa. I can tell you now that in my place of work, there is no such thing as secrets. As soon as the names are picked out everyone is asking each other who they have got. Before the end of the day, I knew exactly who has who, including who has picked me. In some ways this does make gift choosing easier as you can just go and ask that person what they want, however it does take away from the magic and excitement of Christmas.
In this post I am going to be giving you a few tips on what buy for your Secret Santa. I will give a few ideas for both men and women, as you never know who’s name you are going to pick.
Secret Santa for Women
If you pick a women’s name out of the hat for Secret Santa then count yourself lucky. Women are fairly easy to buy for, there’s so much choice. You shouldn’t be spending too much on a gift, and why would you? Chances are that the person that you pick out is only a colleague and somebody that you barely ever talk to, so don’t go overboard.
I’d recommend getting yourself down to Tesco as this shop has plenty of gifts that are affordable but thoughtful. Here’s a gift that I would recommend:
This gift is £26 and comes with two huge bottles of refreshing body wash and foaming shower creme. It also comes with a tube of hand wash and a Christmassy candle. What more can a woman want? It’s even gift wrapped already and makes you look like you’ve wrapped it yourself expertly. This present is a little pricey so go for this one if you actually like who you are buying for.
If you are looking for a slightly cheaper option then something like this might be better…
This one is currently on half price reduced from £20 to £10. It comes with body wash, shower cream, body lotion, soap, bath soak crystals and bath milk. All the things that you ladies use to relax. Half of that stuff I don’t even know what it is, but it sounds relaxing.
Secret Santa for Men
If you’ve picked out a man for your Secret Santa, then fear not, because I came across the perfect gift. Head on down to your nearest HomeBargains store because they are selling some pretty cool gadgets for very cheap prices. I found an armrest organiser which I know any man would love. Only £2.99 as well. It has lots of different compartments for your TV remotes, your snacks, your beer and whatever other crap us men carry around. You can’t go wrong with this gift, I’m actually thinking about buying it for myself.
Hopefully this has given you a few ideas for your Secret Santa. Remember, you don’t need to spend too much on a gift. There are plenty of bargains out there, if you know where to look.
Tomorrow I will be telling you what I like and dislike about the Christmas period.
